Morris South is seeking a driven sales professional to drive profitable growth by developing new business and expanding relationships with manufacturers. This role focuses on delivering CNC machine tools, automation systems, and advanced manufacturing solutions that help customers improve productivity and performance.
The ideal candidate has experience in industrial, technical, or capital equipment sales. Candidates with engineering backgrounds, CNC machining experience, machine tool industry experience, or manufacturing operations experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan.
Identify, pursue, and close new capital equipment opportunities.
Develop and expand relationships with existing customers while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities.
Conduct customer visits to understand manufacturing processes, challenges, and production goals.
Evaluate customer applications and recommend CNC machining, Swiss machining, automation, and manufacturing solutions.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering to develop time studies, process improvements, turnkey projects, and machine recommendations.
Lead the sales process from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
Coordinate internal resources including engineering, service, automation, and management teams to support customer projects.
Maintain accurate CRM activity, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
Represent Morris South at customer events, trade shows, and industry functions.
Stay current on manufacturing technologies, competitive offerings, and market trends.

Preferred Background & Experience
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Capital Equipment Sales
Industrial Sales
Manufacturing Sales
Technical Sales
Automation Sales
CNC Machine Tools
Industrial Distribution
Cutting Tools & Tooling
Metrology
Manufacturing Software (CAD, CAM, ERP, MES, CNC Programming, or related manufacturing technologies)
Candidates with experience in CNC machining, Swiss machining, manufacturing engineering, applications engineering, production management, medical manufacturing, or the machine tool industry are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Proven success developing new business and growing customer relationships.
Strong prospecting, networking, and business development skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations leaders, and executive decision-makers.
Experience managing long sales cycles and complex opportunities.
Ability to leverage manufacturing, engineering, machining, or technical experience to identify and solve customer production challenges.
Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required based on relevant experience.

Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
